About The Pet Gundog Club

The Pet Gundog Club is an online training membership for people who live with gundogs and want practical help, clear guidance and a bit of encouragement along the way.

It was created by Lez Graham, founder of The Pet Gundog® approach and author of The Pet Gundog book series, to give owners a place where they can learn how to train the gundog they actually have - not the imaginary one who behaves beautifully in every situation and never finds anything more interesting than you.

Because let’s be honest, most gundogs are brilliant, busy, funny, frustrating and occasionally feral - sometimes all before breakfast.

Inside the Club, you’ll find a structured library of training courses, practical video lessons, written guidance, real-life training examples, members’ challenges, seasonal support, online call recordings and help with working towards the Pet Gundog Proficiency Awards.

The training is designed to help you work with your dog’s instincts, rather than constantly battling against them. Whether you’re dealing with pulling on the lead, selective recall, over-excitement, retrieving issues, steadiness, or simply trying to give your dog a more fulfilling life, the Club gives you a clear place to start and a way to keep going.

The Pet Gundog Club is not about perfection. It’s about progress, partnership and training that works in real life - on muddy walks, windy fields, awkward moments, busy homes and days when your dog appears to have left their ears in the kitchen.

Who The Pet Gundog Club is for

The Club is for owners of pet gundogs who want to build better manners, stronger foundations and more reliable skills without losing sight of the dog’s natural instincts.

It is especially useful if you want:

  • a clearer training plan
  • practical exercises you can work through at home
  • help understanding why your dog behaves the way they do
  • fresh ideas when training has gone a bit stale
  • ongoing support rather than a one-off course
  • a sensible, structured approach to pet gundog training
